Campfire Sauna Waiver

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE SIGNING — THIS IS A LEGALLY BINDING AGREEMENT. 1. Assumption of Risk I acknowledge that participation in sauna and cold exposure activities involves inherent risks, including but not limited to: elevated heart rate and blood pressure, dizziness, fainting, dehydration, burns, aggravation of pre-existing medical conditions, and, in rare cases, serious injury or death. I voluntarily assume full responsibility for all risks—both known and unknown—associated with the use of the sauna, cold exposure, surrounding facilities, and related activities. 2. Waiver and Release of Liability In consideration for being allowed to participate in sauna-related activities offered by Campfire Sauna & Social, I, for myself and on behalf of my heirs, executors, administrators, assigns, and legal representatives, hereby release, waive, discharge, and hold harmless Campfire Sauna & Social, its owners, employees, agents, contractors, affiliates, volunteers, and the Wilmette Park District, from any and all liability for personal injury, illness, property damage, or wrongful death arising out of or related to my participation. This waiver applies even if the injury or damage is caused in whole or in part by the negligence of any of the released parties, to the maximum extent permitted by law. 3. Health Declaration I certify that I am in good physical condition and have no medical or mental health condition that would impair my ability to safely participate in sauna or cold exposure activities. I have consulted with a physician if I have (or suspect I have) any condition that may be impacted by exposure to extreme temperatures, including but not limited to: Cardiovascular disease, High or low blood pressure, Respiratory illness, Pregnancy, Neurological or circulatory disorders. I accept full responsibility for monitoring my physical condition during participation and for seeking immediate medical attention if needed. 4. Conduct and Property Responsibility I agree to use all Campfire Sauna property, facilities, and equipment in a safe and respectful manner. I accept full financial responsibility for any damage to property caused by my negligence, misuse, or misconduct. Campfire Sauna reserves the right to refuse service to or remove any participant exhibiting unsafe, disruptive, disrespectful, or intoxicated behavior. Violations of safety protocols may result in immediate dismissal without refund. 5. Water Access Policy and Additional Liability Waiver Entering Lake Michigan or any surrounding body of water is strictly prohibited during or immediately following a sauna session, unless explicitly permitted by the Wilmette Park District. Campfire Sauna does not supervise water access and assumes no responsibility for water-related activities. If I choose to enter the water in violation of this policy, I do so entirely at my own risk. I hereby release and agree to hold harmless Campfire Sauna, its affiliates, and the Wilmette Park District from any and all claims, injuries, illnesses, accidents, or fatalities that may result from such unauthorized activity. I acknowledge this policy has been clearly communicated to me and that any violation may result in the immediate termination of my participation without refund. 6. Photo and Video Release (Optional) I grant permission for Campfire Sauna to capture and use photographs or video recordings taken of me during my participation for marketing, social media, or promotional purposes. If I do not wish to be photographed or recorded, I will notify Campfire Sauna staff in advance of my session. 7. Acknowledgment and Acceptance of Terms By signing below, I acknowledge that I have carefully read and fully understand this Liability Waiver and Release Form. I agree to all terms outlined above and understand the legal consequences of this agreement. I certify that I am at least 18 years of age or have obtained consent from a legal guardian if under 18. I am signing this document voluntarily and without coercion.
