Wear a bathing suit or sweat-friendly clothes, bring a towel and water. A small storage area is available for use during your sauna session.

Free parking is available along Overlook Drive, past the Harbor Club and dog beach, with a Wilmette Resident sticker.
Non-residents can park along Middle Drive OR in the main Gillson Beach parking lot.

Contrast Therapy is the practice of alternating between heat (sauna) and cold (ice bath/lake dip) to naturally stimulate your body’s circulatory, metabolic, and nervous systems. This back-and-forth between temperatures trains your body to adapt, recover, and thrive.
Thermoregulatory Therapy builds on this by challenging your body’s thermal regulation — helping it maintain balance in response to temperature stress. This boosts resilience, fat metabolism, mental clarity, and recovery.

This Finnish word is pronounced “low-loo”. It is when water is poured on the stove rocks to create steam, thereby elevating the humidity and temperature inside the sauna.

Yes! As long as you see availability during the date/time, feel free to book the entire sauna. Please ensure each person attending signs the waiver.
